Dr Simon Campbell is a Consultant gastroenterologist who has worked in the NHS for over 20 years and as a consultant for 10 years. Up to 2014, he was a consultant at Manchester Royal Infirmary before becoming a predominantly private practitioner with part-time NHS contracts performing colonoscopy for the bowel cancer screening programme.
He has held positions at the Royal College of Physicians, European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation and the British Society of Gastroenterology as well as holding honorary senior lecturer positions at both the University of Manchester and University of Salford. He is currently a faculty member of the Capsule endoscopy training course, London and a member of the IPC committee at the British Society of Gastroenterology.
He has extensive training in luminal gut problems. He has trained in Edinburgh, Oxford and Liverpool. Regardless of complexity you can be assured of the highest quality gastroenterological service.
Conditions that Dr Campbell specialises in include indigestion, peptic ulcer disease, Barrett’s oesophagus, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), stomach and colon cancer, coeliac disease, rectal bleeding, iron deficiency anaemia, constipation and diarrhoea.
He is fully trained in all endoscopy techniques (gastroscopy, colonoscopy and capsule endoscopy) and remains an accredited bowel cancer screening colonoscopist.

Sarah Campbell studied law at Aberdeen University and prior to working at Gastromedicalsolutions LLP, worked in the financial services industry for 15 years.
As Dr Campbells personal assistant and the practice manager, Sarah prides herself on first class customer service and is able to offer the personalised and professional service that so many patients desire.
From making appointments, co-ordinating endoscopic procedures and organising in-patient care Sarah has the know-how to effect rapid and convenient solutions and is able to take patients through the journey from consultation to treatment.

Debbie joined Gastromedicalsolutions in 2015.
Debbie has over 20 years experience as a medical secretary, having worked previously in the NHS and latterly in the private sector. Her professional, warm and helpful approach ensures patients are put at ease.
